After four days at Disney Tom, Dusty and I headed to Universal Studios. This was a truly wonderful and blessed week. I conquered a fear, enjoyed the best company of my life, found some hard to find Transformers and even got to meet some new friends! Here are some photos!

We spent two nights at the Hard Rock Hotel, and it was truly glorious! I will post a few videos from our hotel room. The environment there was really strange. All the people working had a rock influenced style. You could find employees with gauged ears, mohawks, and tons of tattoos. One note if you are interested in traveling is why a resort is worth the money. A normal express pass costs between $30 and $40. The difference is whether you want to use it in one or both parks. Here is where the fine print begins: if you pay for the pass you only get to use it once for each ride that day. If you stay at a resort, you can circle through that line for all rides as many times as you want in a day. Every ride we hit at Universal was less than a 15 minute wait. It was GLORIOUS!

Donkey was kind of a jerk…

The Mummy roller coaster was one of the BEST rides we did! There was one room where the ceiling was on fire!

There were head dresses you could buy after the mummy ride

Back to the Future:

Terminator 3D was amazing! You can buy this statue for 6 grand + shipping.

The new Simpson’s ride was a lot of fun.

I rode the Hulk and it was amazing! Night is definitely the best time to hit it.

This was my goal:

Thor’s Hammer is available for $500

More of the Hulk from across the lake:

This is where we ate:

There was nothing more amazing then seeing the Blue Man Group. If you ever have a chance, make sure you catch this performance!

During their set one of the Blue Men catches large paintballs in his mouth and spits the pigment across a canvas. That was the only painting made by the men during the performance and I managed to get my hands on it. The guys in makeup never speak, but I asked one of them to sign it and he kissed the corner:

The best part of the Hard Rock Hotel was the Spinal Tap display.

This was the interior of our resort before we checked out.
